We are proud to honor Ella Hume Taylor, a trailblazing author of local history. This 11 x 16 room has a queen bed and its own
detached private washroom. Granddaughter of an original founding family of the Geneseo Colony, Ella went above and beyond to publish eloquent and unprecedented accounts of early life connecting us to unique core beliefs on which Geneseo was founded. In addition to her many leadership roles, she established the Geneseo Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1899. Ella’s grandfather, R. R. Stewart was innkeeper of our first hotel, the Geneseo House, which is still home to several local businesses a short walk from here.
